Awful Day Ever

It all here started with a case of terrible hair. I couldn't do it to look decent. As I was scrambling out the door, I stumbled and badly all over myself. To make matters worse, I was totally late for work.

I flustered. My {boss|friend|was absolutely furious. I managed to explain, but it was pointless.

The rest of the day was even worse. Everything. I get anything done.

By the time I reached my destination, I was exhausted. This day, this atrocious day will be forever remembered as the worst day ever.

It all started out badly with a simple mishap/incident/screw-up. But then things went from bad to absolutely terrible. A series/chain/cascade of unfortunate/awful/disastrous events unfolded/occurred/piled on top each other, leaving me feeling like I was in a nightmare/horror movie/comedy of errors. It's the kind of situation where you just want to scream into a pillow.
